Not sick anymore! Well, kind of. Slight cough, but nothing major. Went through almost two bottles of Dimetapp =( Been mobile blogging because it's actually a pretty good time waster. Considering how it's actually difficult to type a blog entry using the "older generation" of mobile phone, ie, not the qwerty keyboard type like blackberry, or the touch screen qwerty pad like the iphone, I get heaps of typos, mainly with "in" turning into "go".... but anyway! This is done on computer, so a proper entry~!

Starting from ages ago, I think this was two weeks ago, more Azuma cakes! New autumn selections.
From Week 13, 2010

This was their mango cheese cake I think... with sponge layers in the middle. Very nice!!

From Week 13, 2010
Has real mango pieces inside too =D

From Week 13, 2010
TT's raspberry pudding- had such good feedback regarding this one... Couldn't really taste it the first time because someone refused to share food with me, but that's ok, went back again after that and ordered one all to myself =D

From Week 12, 2010
To add a little randomness into this entry, CNY has long come and gone, but what do people do with their red packets as soon as all the money's been taken out? I cut mine into little fishies, stick some eyes on them and give it back to whoever gave me the red packets, usually my parents =P

From Week 12, 2010
My parents went to Hong Kong and Japan, came back with nothing really, but food! =D These scallop sweets are so good, I could almost finish the whole packet myself!

From Week 12, 2010
The sakura trees are blossoming right now in Japan, but apparently, there are very strong winds too, so the sakura might not bloom for long.... I've heard that it's so beautiful, it's enough to make you cry. Hanami party!!!

From Week 12, 2010
I'm not too sure, but I think they went to Universal Studios or someplace similar. They got me a can of snoopy tiramisu candy =D

Week after, I fell sick, but still had to go to uni, so my friend PH took pity on me and brought me up to her dorm to have some hot lemon drink.
From Week 14, 2010

From Week 14, 2010
This is the view her dorm overlooks. It's actually pretty nice, living on campus... if it wasn't at penrith, I might consider it. The nearest train station, Kingswood, is a good half an hour's walk away from the dorm, and it takes an hour plus to get to city from Kingswood. I guess the good thing is... you get to see cows and horses grazing out your window if you live there, but I prefer Cherrybrook =D Nice clouds though.

From Week 14, 2010
Shh! No complaints about this blog turning in K-ON! This is a weird instrument which a music therapist brought in from Japan, called the Taishougoto. It's like an auto harp... quite cool actually, I might fiddle around with it and master it!

From Week 14, 2010
Did not eat much while sick... this was one lunchtime before work while sitting at the corner cafe drinking coffee. Lemon tart~ it's so sour, but sour's good. Did not cough this thing back up, so it's good.

From Week 14, 2010
Yep, this is the mini library at the music therapy centre. Brainstorming a composition for a little girl =) Berocca on the table too.

From Week 14, 2010
Strange looking purple fruit- the mangosteen! I think the season for it has gone past already. Last week when we went, this was sold at $11 per kg. Now it's up to $12. Funny thing was, we went to paddy's and bought about 4 just to try it out. The lady charged us 60 cents. At $11 per kg. Of course, when we went back and got a bigger bag of these, she charged us the actual price, but.. score!

From Week 14, 2010
Tried out a new thai place that is quite close to China Town. A small, purple, kind of dodgy-looking place, but it seemed to be quite crowded most of the time, so we went there one afternoon. "ChonSiam" I think it was called.

From Week 14, 2010
I ordered a chicken lard na, but they gave me a seafood one at first. They came and took it back before I ate it though, and replaced it with the correct dish... it was actually quite nice, despite the dodgy looking photo. I was more craving a gravy-type noodles, not dry, not soup. This turned out rather like a soup than a thick gravy...

From Week 14, 2010
tt's char siu fan from a thai place ^^ As usual, someone refused to share food with sick people, so I didn't get to try it much, but the verdict was that it's very different from the Chinese style type of char siu fan... not that great, but we might go back to try the soft shell crab salad they had on the menu at the front, and their pad thai (because how wrong can you go with  pad thai right?)

From Week 15, 2010
From a few posts back, the instant udon turned out like this when cooked. It's actually quite good- a healthier alternative to fried and dried instant noodles.

From Week 15, 2010
Though, if you want healthy, nothing beats avocado. Studies have shown that avocado, salmon and seaweed are possibly the healthiest food you can take (not to mention, salmon= good skin!!) so we should just all eat salmon avocado sushi everyday. *I shan't be all academic and provide evidence and references to these "studies" because I probably read it in some trashy magazine at the tearoom of Franklins*. I know, I posted this photo in the previous entry, but this one's been fixed up to look all nice and bright~ The toast is a bruschetta, a bigger version of the mini toast, which is a bigger version of croutons really.

Hm... I'm tempted to end this entry right now because it's getting quite long, and it's also getting quite late, but since I'll most likely be posting mini mobile blogs for the next week or more, I might as well write a longer entry now while I'm at it.

TODAY! We went to Chinta Ria.

Actually, I changed my mind. With work at 6:30am tomorrow, I'll leave Chinta Ria for another day. Signing off! =D

Surprised you didn't just jump to Chinta Ria since you enjoyed it so much. And yeah, I don't think Chonsiam's chinese style dishes are all that great, should go for their pad thai next time ^^;

Also, yay for 14g mangosteens =)

I doubt we'll ever get cheap mangosteen again, unless you're in SIngapore! =D =D =D

Chinta Ria next time! At least I gave away the surprise of where we went~ I'll post about it tomorrow or something, before someone else beats me to visiting it! BANANANANANA!!!!

Actually I doubt I'll be going to a Malaysian restaurant that charges so much for food that is typically so cheap in Malaysia..
